On the last day of February, the University of Tartu (UT) opened its doors to visitors from Estonia and abroad. We were happy to see so many talented young people interested in studying at UT. Science & Technology (S&T) representatives led by Programme Director Ilona Faustova engaged with high school students, and their parents, who were interested in our bachelor’s programme.
We actively participated in various events during Open Doors Day. In addition to being present in the fair’s main area, we hosted the info session dedicated to international students and created and ran the workshop teaching participants how to extract DNA from fruits. We also gave a guided tour of the newly formed Institute of Bioengineering and showed visitors where scientists carry out research and what machines and tools they use.
Overall, it was a busy day full of people interested in studying at the University of Tartu.
